Graebel University Releases Two Reports:  The 2011 Relocation Policy Summit Report and a 5-Year Relocation Policy Recap

(Aurora, COLO) – Graebel University has announced record attendance at its 2011 Relocation Policy Summit. This year’s participants represented close to 40-percent of the Fortune 500 from firms that on average produce $15.5 billion in annual revenue.

Graebel University has compiled two reports that summarize best-practice and cost-saving relocation solutions that were identified by the global mobility executives that met for two days at the Graebel world headquarters in Denver, Colorado.  Formed in 1999, Graebel University is the educational arm of the global relocation and moving firm, Graebel Companies, Inc.

One report summarizes the 2011 participants’ findings on relocation and moving policy trends and solutions.  Because this year also marked the fifth Graebel University annual Summit, a 5-year recap that identifies certain influencing factors and the reasoning behind policy shifts and trends is also available.

Graebel relocation veterans moderated the two-day sessions in which participants established agenda topics in advance of their arrival to the Summit. The Fortune 500 attendees focused on universal program management and these topics included Return on Investment (ROI) measurement, payback agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and employee retention following relocation.  Among other subjects discussed were localization, global compensation trends and practices, commuter policies, benefits in lieu of home sale, innovative loss on sale policies, and how to successfully and cost-effectively sell properties in today’s real estate marketplace.  

For the third consecutive year, participants holding a Certified Relocation Professional® (CRP) and/or the Global Mobility Specialist® (GMS) certifications from the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council were eligible to earn credits toward their certification renewals through their participation at the Graebel University Summit.
