(Aurora, COLO) –This week is the fourth consecutive year that Graebel University will host a Global Policy Summit for Fortune 500 relocation leaders at the Graebel World Headquarters in Colorado. This year’s two-day summit on February 24-25 will focus on international and U.S. domestic relocation policy trends and issues and will encourage mind-share among participants. Because Graebel University is the Company’s academic arm, participants look forward to this annual open forum and its purposely non-sales environment.
Prior to travelling to Colorado from across the U.S. Graebel University Summit attendees identified international and domestic relocation topics in order to create their tailor-made two-day agenda. Because the agenda is comprehensive and the Summit is an educational and mindshare forum, the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council® (ERC) approved eligibility for eleven (11) Certification Relocation Professional® (CRP) credits for each ERC member participant. Because participants can choose to attend one or both Summit days, ERC established specific credit eligibility, per day. Attendees need only complete and submit to ERC a CRP form provided by Graebel during the Summit.
This year’s Summit will also bring special guest, Peter Kilborn, author of the recently published book, “Next Stop: Reloville.” A former New York Times reporter, Kilborn will share his findings and insight on America’s rootless relocation society, and will kick-off the 2010 Summit with his fresh perspectives.
According to critics, Kilborn’s book “is a fascinating account of a new type of transient worker in America, affluent in their material lives but impoverished in their community ties. And, it is massively researched . . . interprets a phenomenon that not only goes to the heart of the American Dream but to the heart of human identity.”
Chief Operating Officer of the Graebel Companies, Inc., and President of Graebel Relocation Services Worldwide, Inc., Tim Callahan shared, “Since 2006, it has been our privilege to host the world’s leading corporate relocation leaders at our headquarters. Graebel University strives to provide a comfortable meeting space for these leaders and because we act as facilitators only, an open, no-holds barred dialogue is experienced among Summit participants.”
“We are also excited that Peter Kilborn will be a guest speaker during this year’s Summit. Earlier, Graebel University provided each participant with a copy of “Reloville”. We look forward to a lively discussion because some participants’ relocated people quoted in his book, and Kilborn’s research included densely populated Reloville-communities south of Denver,” remarked Callahan.
