AURORA, COLO. - On July 26, 2010, Graebel Companies, Inc., as part of their commitment to providing an environmentally sound solution to proper disposal of electronic waste, will be teaming up with Metech Recycling, Inc. to help employees dispose of their unwanted home electronics.
Monday, July 26, 2010, between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., Metech Recycling will be in the parking lot of Graebel’s world headquarters in Denver to collect and dispose of any employees’ unwanted personal electronic equipment in an environmentally safe and legal way. Disposing of electronic waste in landfills or dumpsters is not only illegal but also has a negative impact on the environment. Electronics are full of toxic elements and improper disposal enables toxic waste to seep into the ground and water supplies.
Metech Recycling is accepting most electronics, including computers, televisions, fax machines, small household appliances, cell phones, and more. They are not accepting materials containing biohazards, hazardous waste, large appliances, liquids of any type, smoke detectors, or radioactive materials.
Metech Recycling is unique in meeting the highest standards of electronic waste collection and ensures that all material collected is disassembled and processed into raw material for use in the manufacture of new products. Metech Recycling is a Basel Action Network (BAN) E-Steward, which means they do not ship hazardous material to developing countries. They also provide the highest degree of data security by physically shredding data devices.
