DENVER, CO – April 21, 2005 – Graebel Movers International, Inc., a division of Graebel Companies, Inc. continuing its support of advancing education for the relocation industry hosted its first FIDI (Federation Internationale des Demenageurs Internationaux) training seminar at the Graebel World Headquarters. Twenty-eight students representing eight countries participated in a seven-day training session.
Taught by FIDI certified trainers, the students learned about the international relocation sales process and contracts, actual move steps such as packing, loading, forwarding and shipping. In addition, discussions were held about the multi-cultural and high stress environment of international relocations.
Students toured many facilities during the course of the week including:
- Graebel Denver Movers, Inc. service center and Forward Air warehouse to participate in international packing and loading techniques
- United Parcel Service center at the nearby Denver International Airport to see firsthand how goods are handled
- United Parcel Service cargo plane to watch the loading of international destined cargo
Graebel Movers International employee Yuma Smith tested as the top student and will be a guest at the FIDI Congress held in Cairo, Egypt this May.
