June 14, 2011

(Aurora, COLO) -  Graebel Movers International, Inc. has released a case study on its emergency efforts following the 2011 disastrous Tsunami in Japan. Graebel was contracted by a U.S.-based, globally recognized University to provide urgent removals assistance for its evacuated 80 students' goods from Japan to the state of California. In addition to the challenges faced by the aftermath of the natural disaster, the removals in Sendai, an area that took a direct hit from the Tsunami and the nuclear power plant melt-downs, posed access restrictions that Graebel and its overseas partner, Santa Fe, overcame.

“The Graebel organization’s extensive international forwarding and removals experience worldwide means that our clients’ can count on us to act swiftly and especially in emergencies. Graebel provides on-the-ground services in more than 150 countries and each of our global partners ensures high-quality services are performed, because we pre-qualify each for quality and controls, reputation, experience of their people performing services, environmental protection awareness and more including certifications, and memberships that parallel to the Graebel standards,” commented Jim Petzel, president of Graebel Movers International, Inc.

“Graebel called upon our 30-plus year and valued partner, Santa Fe, to execute the local services in Japan. Because of the unique circumstances of this group move, special services such as customized debris removal and donation efforts were required to perform the task in its entirety,” concluded Petzel.
