(Aurora, COLO) –  Craig Reineking senior vice president and regional manager at Graebel Movers, Inc., has appointed Jim Bender to vice president and general manager for Chicago, the third largest market in the US.  This center, Graebel American Movers, Inc., provides household goods and commercial office moving, storage and workplace services.  A longtime moving industry veteran Bender had held this management role with the Graebel organization previously.  Previously, Bender had been president at the carrier, Bekins Van Lines.

Frequently sought as an industry presenter, Bender will speak at an area Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter this month, and other relocation organizations this year.  He will cover the constantly moving parts of relocation and how these factors can or cannot keep employees mobile and impact their employers’ success and bottom-line.  Graebel has also been tapped to sponsor this active SHRM Chapter.

Reineking also announced that 25-plus year relocation veteran Robert Martin CRP has accepted the new post of vice president of business development.  Reporting to George Bates, senior vice president business development for Graebel Movers, Inc. Martin will build business relationships with the Fortune 500.  Graebel had previously tapped Martin for his extensive background to step in to lead the Graebel Buffalo Grove, Illinois moving and storage center as its vice president and general manager.  Martin is the past president of the Chicago Movers Association, chairman of the Movers Teamster Committee, a board member of the Illinois Movers Association.  At the National Moving and Storage Association he served as its treasurer prior to that group’s merger with the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA).
